As of June 4, Detective Conan Black Iron Submarine has brought in billion yen US$ million on the back of million tickets sold for the flick. The film is the 27th highest-grossing film in Japan, right under 1999's Star Wars The Phantom Menace, as well as continuing to be the 12th highest-grossing anime film in Japan.
